Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-09 on October 11, 2021, appointing Faith Swanson — the new business administrator for the Tyrone Area School District — as the Borough’s voting delegate to the Blair County Tax Collection Committee, with Borough Manager Ardean Latchford serving as alternate. The county committee oversees the local earned income tax collection system that taxing bodies across Blair County share, and each member municipality and school district is entitled to name a delegate to represent its interests on that body. The appointment keeps Tyrone’s seat filled as decisions are made about how the local tax is collected and administered.
