Eighteen bicycles that had gone unclaimed will be passed along to people who can use them. On May 8, Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-04, authorizing the Borough to donate the bikes to Helping Hands.

Unclaimed property of this kind tends to accumulate after bicycles are turned in, found, or recovered and never picked up by an owner. A formal resolution gives the Borough clear authority to release the items, and directing them to a local charitable ministry keeps usable bicycles out of storage and in the community.
