Adopted by Borough Council · December 11, 2023
Council closed out the year by adopting Ordinance No. 1470, which puts the Borough’s 2024 budget into effect. The annual budget is the financial plan that governs how Tyrone collects and spends money across the coming year — funding services such as the police department, the water and sewer systems, street maintenance, parks, and the day-to-day operations of the Borough Office.
Adopted unanimously
In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, Rob Poust, David Snyder, Ken Patterson, William Wiser. Absent: Sarah Hunter, Mayor Latchford.
Under Tyrone’s Home Rule Charter, Council must adopt a balanced budget by ordinance before the start of each fiscal year. Two members were absent for the December 11 meeting, and the budget passed with the support of all members present.
