Adopted by Borough Council · December 13, 2021
Council moved to adopt the Borough’s 2022 final budget at its December 13, 2021 meeting, setting out the specific sums appropriated for each purpose of Tyrone’s municipal government for the year ahead. A municipal budget is the annual financial plan that authorizes spending across departments — from police and the highway crew to water and sewer operations — and aligns it with expected revenues.
Approved by Council
In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, Tammy Wills, David Snyder, Ken Patterson. Absent: Sarah Jane Miller, William Wiser.
Adopting a final budget before year’s end is a routine but essential step: it gives every Borough department clear spending authority on January 1. The minutes record the motion to approve Ordinance No. 1457 but do not show a separate roll-call vote before the next item; the measure is treated as carried. Two members, Sarah Jane Miller and William Wiser, were absent.
On file: the full text of Ordinance No. 1457 is available from the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue. The Borough’s budget process is governed by Article XIV (Budget & Finance) of the Home Rule Charter.
