Council has approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Borough’s police officers, ratifying terms that the Borough and the union reached at the bargaining table. A collective bargaining agreement is the negotiated contract that governs officers’ pay, benefits, hours and working conditions for a set period, so its approval keeps the department staffed and operating under settled terms.
Adopted unanimously
In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, David Snyder, Sarah Hunter, Ken Patterson, William Wiser. Absent: Rob Poust.
The vote at the September 11 meeting clears the way for the agreed terms to take effect. For residents, the practical result is continuity in the Borough’s police protection, with the officers who serve Tyrone now working under a current, ratified contract.
On record: the collective bargaining agreement and the vote to approve it are part of the public meeting record, available at the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue.
