Borough Council approved a $5,000 donation to Calvary Tyrone in support of the congregation’s community outreach, which provides free meals three times a week, blessing boxes, counseling, and housing assistance. The money comes from the Borough’s Community Enrichment fund, and the request was brought forward by Councilmember Sarah Hunter.
Adopted unanimously
In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, Sarah Hunter, Rob Poust, David Snyder, Tammy Wills, William Wiser. Absent: Ken Patterson.
The item was not on the printed agenda, so Mayor Latchford opened the floor for public comment before Council took it up. The donation passed with the members present in support.
On record: this donation is part of the public meeting record at the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue, (814) 684-1330. See upcoming and past meeting materials on the Borough’s agendas & minutes page.
