Council agreed to move forward with conveying 40 feet of Borough-owned property — the strip adjacent to the Neptune Volunteer Fire Company station, running toward 18th Street — to the fire company so it can build an addition onto its station. The Borough Manager will contact Lehman Engineering to begin the conveyance process.
Approved by Council
In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, Ken Patterson, David Snyder, Tammy Wills, Rob Poust, Sarah Hunter, Mayor Latchford. Absent: William Wiser.
This was a consensus of Council to proceed, not a formal motion or roll-call vote, and no conveyance has been approved yet. The parcel in question is currently used as a field for sports practices and contains a wellfield. Council will need to take formal action before any transfer is finalized.
On record: this consensus to begin the conveyance is part of the public meeting record at the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue. The Neptune Volunteer Fire Company is one of the Borough’s fire companies organized under Chapter 20, Fire Department of the Tyrone Borough Code.
