Adopted by Borough Council · October 9, 2023
The Borough is again pursuing federal community-development money. On October 9, Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-09, formally authorizing Tyrone to submit its FY2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application.

CDBG is a long-running U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development program, administered in the Commonwealth by the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development. It helps smaller communities pay for projects that principally benefit low- and moderate-income residents — work such as housing rehabilitation, public facilities, and infrastructure improvements. A governing-body resolution authorizing the submission is a standard step in the application process.
