Adopted by Borough Council · April 14, 2025
At its April 14 meeting, Council adopted Resolution No. 2025-01, authorizing the Borough to shred and destroy records that have reached the end of their required keeping period. Pennsylvania’s Municipal Records Retention Act sets how long municipalities must hold on to different kinds of documents — financial ledgers, permits, correspondence, and the like — and a formal resolution is the step that lets a borough clear out files once those minimum periods have passed.
