Adopted by Borough Council · March 14, 2022
Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-04 acknowledging April as PA One Call Safety Month, lending the Borough’s support to a statewide reminder that anyone planning to dig should first have underground utility lines located and marked.
Pennsylvania’s One Call system, reached by dialing 811, notifies utility owners so that gas, electric, water, sewer, and communication lines can be flagged before excavation begins — protecting diggers from injury and preventing costly damage to buried infrastructure. The free notification is required before most digging work, whether it’s a contractor breaking ground or a homeowner planting a tree or installing a fence. Residents can learn more through Pennsylvania 811 (PA One Call).
