With the summer season approaching, Council adopted Ordinance No. 1484 on April 14, 2025, an amendment to the Borough’s compensation schedule that increases the wages paid to seasonal swimming-pool employees. These are the lifeguards and pool staff the Borough hires each year to operate the community pool through the summer months.

In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, Sarah Hunter, Rob Poust, David Snyder, Tammy Wills, William Wiser. Absent: Ken Patterson.
Setting the rates by ordinance is how the Borough keeps its pay scale current and competitive, which helps the pool recruit and keep the trained, certified staff it needs to open and run safely. The change takes effect for the coming season.
