Council has approved a new three-year contract between the Borough and its AFSCME union, the bargaining unit that represents many of Tyrone’s public-works and municipal employees. The agreement runs from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027, taking effect when the current contract expires at the end of this year.
Adopted unanimously
In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, Ken Patterson, Sarah Hunter, Rob Poust, William Wiser, Tammy Wills. Absent: David Snyder.
The terms were settled at the bargaining table before the measure reached Council: Borough staff and union members met several times and reached agreement, then brought the finished contract forward for the formal vote that puts it into effect.
On record: the approved agreement is part of the public meeting record and is on file at the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue, (814) 684-1330.
