Council approved a $1,500 donation to Allegheny Spay and Neuter, which spays and neuters Tyrone cats as they are trapped. The gift continues the support the Borough has provided for the last several years, helping curb the local free-roaming and feral cat population through trap-neuter-return work rather than letting unmanaged colonies keep growing.
Adopted unanimously
In favor: all members present — Sarah Hunter, Ken Patterson, Tammy Wills, William Wiser. Absent: Robert Dollar, David Snyder.
Keeping and caring for animals in the Borough is governed by Chapter 61, Animals of the Tyrone Borough Code.
On record: the donation is part of the public meeting record at the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue. For the Borough’s rules on animals, see Chapter 61, Animals of the Tyrone Borough Code.
