Considered by Borough Council · January 8, 2024
A proposal to convert 5th Street to one-way travel between Washington Avenue and Clay Avenue did not move forward at Council’s January 8, 2024 meeting. Ordinance No. 1475 grew out of a traffic study by Lehman Engineering, but after the Borough received public comment on the change, staff recommended holding off. No Council member made a motion on the ordinance, so it received no vote and no formal action was taken.
Not adopted
No motion was made, so the measure did not come to a vote. Absent: Poust, Hunter, Wiser.
Council had already chosen to wait for more public input before deciding. Residents with concerns about traffic on 5th Street can share them with the Borough Office at 1100 Logan Avenue, (814) 684-1330.
