Adopted by Borough Council · December 11, 2023
Council has amended the Borough’s Non-Uniform Pension Plan with the adoption of Ordinance No. 1474 on December 11, 2023. The plan provides retirement benefits to Tyrone’s non-uniformed employees — the office, public works, and other civilian staff who are not part of the police pension plan. Ordinances of this kind are how a municipality keeps a pension plan’s written terms current, whether to reflect a change in benefits, contributions, or the provisions of state pension law that govern municipal plans in Pennsylvania.
