Adopted by Borough Council · October 10, 2022
Council appointed the Borough’s Finance Director, Shannon Wilson, as a delegate — specifically the first alternate — to the Blair County Tax Collection Committee, adopting Resolution No. 2022-09. The committee oversees the collection of the local earned income tax across the county’s taxing jurisdictions, and it had asked Tyrone for the appointment to guard against a lack of a quorum at its meetings. The Tyrone Area School District remains the Borough’s primary delegate; Ms. Wilson would step in when the primary delegate cannot attend.
Adopted unanimously
In favor: all members present — David Snyder, Ken Patterson, William Wiser, Sarah Hunter, Rob Poust. Absent: Robert Dollar, Charles Mills.
On record: Resolution No. 2022-09 is part of the public meeting record at the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue. The Borough’s local taxes are codified in Chapter 180, Taxation of the Tyrone Borough Code.
