Proclamation · March 9, 2026
At Council’s March 9 meeting, Mayor Harlow presented a proclamation to the Irish Heritage Committee recognizing March 11–15, 2026 as Irish Heritage Week in Tyrone Borough. A proclamation is a ceremonial statement issued by the Mayor; it honors the occasion and does not change Borough law, so no Council vote was taken.
The recognition marks the days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day and acknowledges the contributions of Tyrone’s Irish-American community and the work of the committee organizing the week’s observances.
On record: the proclamation is part of the public meeting record at the Borough Office, 1100 Logan Avenue, (814) 684-1330.
