Adopted by Borough Council · May 9, 2022
Drivers using Alley F will soon face a new stop where it crosses Alley A. On May 9, Borough Council adopted Ordinance No. 1461, which amends Chapter 190 of the Borough Code (“Vehicles and Traffic”) to add stop signs at that intersection and sets the date the change takes effect.
Adopted unanimously
In favor: all members present — Robert Dollar, Sarah Hunter, Rob Poust, Charles Mills, David Snyder, Ken Patterson. Absent: William Wiser.
Adding a stop control through ordinance is the standard way a borough makes a regulation enforceable: once signs are posted under the amended code, police can cite drivers who fail to stop. Residents who travel these alleys should watch for the new signs and come to a complete stop once they are installed.
