Adopted by Borough Council · September 14, 2026
Council enacted Ordinance No. 1503 on September 14, 2026, amending the Reservoir Park Rules & Regulations first established by Ordinance No. 1130 in 1998.
The amendment revises the park’s for-profit use rule. Previously, no permit could be issued for use of a park, playground, or park facility for an activity designed to be held purely for private profit. Under the amended rule, such a permit may be issued with the prior approval of Borough Council, with issuance at Council’s sole discretion — allowing Council to consider events with food trucks, vendors, and artisans on a case-by-case basis.
Council signaled the rules update in June as part of Reservoir Park’s renovation planning. Ordinance No. 1130 and the park’s remaining rules are reaffirmed in their entirety, and the ordinance takes effect on the earliest date provided by law.
