Adopted by Borough Council · August 10, 2026
Council adopted Resolution No. 2026-09 on August 10, 2026, formally initiating a comprehensive plan for the Borough of Tyrone.
A comprehensive plan is a municipality’s long-range planning document under the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code — a community-wide look at land use, housing, transportation, public facilities, and economic development that guides Borough decisions over the decade ahead. The resolution begins that process for Tyrone.
Residents can take part in the process now: complete the community survey (opens in a new tab), or visit the Tyrone Comprehensive Plan website (opens in a new tab) to learn more about the effort.
Adopted unanimously, 6–0
In favor: all Council members present — Robert Dollar, Sarah Hunter, Debbie Kann, Ken Patterson, Tammy Wills, and Bridgette Gill. William Wiser was absent.
