The Tyrone Borough Police Department added two full-time officers at the July 13, 2026 Council meeting. After the Civil Service Commission met to certify the list of eligible candidates for two full-time positions, Council appointed:

In favor: all Council members present — Robert Dollar, Debbie Kann, Ken Patterson, and Bridgette Gill. Absent: Sarah Hunter, Tammy Wills, and William Wiser.
